Week of fun

So this week was a bundle of fun.

Monday: I got to spend it cleaning the house up with my husband. That Easter Bunny sure left a mess behind. I had three loads of dishes to run through the dishwasher. Thank Goodness for modern technology. I then got to go over to Lisa Sherman's house and sew curtains for Ross' room. It was fun but I sure miss my time with Katie and her teaching me how to sew. The positive note it has taught me to go out of my comfort zone. The other positive I am getting to learn more about other sisters in the ward.

Tuesday: A fun but busy day. My dad brought up Annie's dressers. They are so pretty however someone painted these beautiful antiques!! Now I have no choice but to repaint over them. One day when we have the money I will get them refinished. But I think white dressers will look good in a little girls room.

My dear friend Amber also came up to spend the day with me. It was a lot of fun. We got to go out to lunch and Kohls. That is what I call a fun day out. We also got to go to Sonic during happy hour and get slushies half price. We then came home and we just spent some nice time watching our little ones play. The fun thing is she has an older boy that had a lot of fun wrestling little Ross. I really think my son is going to follow in his fathers footsteps and be a wrestler. I also enjoyed just sitting on the couch while Amber rubbed my belly and talked to Annie. I would have to say there isn't a whole lot of people I would feel comfortable doing that with but hey we have been friends since middle school and have been through a lot together.

Wednesday: Just a fun day at the chorus babysitting. I had some older kids this week because they were on spring break. Lets just say they were more than a joy to have in the classroom. One told me I was the "Superiest Meanest Person Ever!!" I said "Thank You I will take that title with honor. That is why I have my degree in Early Childhood, after five years of age and I am done.

Thursday: What a fun playgroup Delinda!!! I love getting out of the house. The best thing is the only payment is bringing food. That I can do if it will get me out of the house. I would have to say I was the first one there and one of the last ones out. My son was just to excited when I told him we were going to Ben's house. He has never gotten ready so fast. I also loved the fact that the majority of the women brought desserts. By the way Amanda loved your treat.

Friday: Nothing exciting.

Saturday: Was a blast I got to take two dogs to the vet and spend an arm and leg. I know I am crazy who would take two dogs at the same time to the vet while being almost 8 months pregnant me of course. I learned that both the dogs are over weight and fat. And here I thought I wasn't feeding them enough.

I also enjoyed going to Alex's baptism. It was so nice we a perfect seat in the back row. I really enjoyed the talks, The spirit was definitely there. Little Ross loved it too. When we got home he couldn't wait to tell Dadda all about the water. He even laid down on the floor to show what happened to Alex. Looks like I have six years to go until he gets to get in the water with his Daddy. Oh, Kelly I loved the refreshments too.

Sunday: Was a nice day but arent they always.

More pictures from Easter

His little dirty hands. He was being camera shy. His pile of Eggs.

Loving the basket too.

Ahh, the sweet taste of chocolate

Happy Easter

Can I just say I love this holiday. The biggest reason is because to me it is one of the most spiritual holidays. Growing up we always got the fun Easter baskets and Easter Egg hunts but I was raised to focus on the real reason for it. To me it is always a renewal in my Faith in Christ. What a wonderful thing He did for me and only He could do it. Now I am excited to raise my son with the same belief. I know right now he is just excited about the Easter Eggs and candy but I cant wait until he truly understands why we celebrate Easter. The day started off so nicely. Ross and I stayed up setting up the house for Little Ross. I even set his little pop up tunnel in the hallway and lined it with Easter eggs. When he came out of his room, his eyes were as big as golf balls. He just kept collecting the eggs and putting them in one big pile. He also enjoyed going through his basket and looking at his fun gardening tools. The only flop was the bubble maker. It didn't do what it was labeled to do and that was blow bubbles. It was upsetting because I was so excited to have a bubble blower. I am taking it back. Church was also nice, I really enjoyed everyone talks. The talks actually held my attention even though my son was completely wired on sugar. After, church we all came home and got to take a short nap. I also had to make my first Easter dinner. This was because Katie and Spencer have been feeding us the dinner since Ross and I have been married. I guess you could say it was a tradition. I almost called Katie and asked her what time dinner was but I didn't want to bother them. I tried to do what they usually did, However, we didn't have Spencer's homemade dinner rolls, mine were store bought. We didn't have the fun jello eggs mine were just squares. I did manage to make deviled eggs by myself and they weren't to bad. Lets just say I missed the Smith Dinner. I don't think I will ever match it.

Coloring Eggs

Today, was a fun day for little Ross. He got to color eggs for the first time. It was such an experiment we let him mix the food coloring, vinegar, and water. He really enjoyed doing that. Then when I brought out the eggs he couldn't believe his eyes. He just had so much fun dropping the eggs in all the different colors. While dropping them he managed to crack all them so they had some pretty cool designs on them. His hands were completely black. Big Ross was not to thrilled about that so he made him use a spoon but by that point it was already a done deal, so I didn't see the need for a spoon. Keep in mind Ross and I are two totally different personalities. I think the messier the better while Ross cannot stand getting messy at all. I am happy to say that little Ross takes after me. When I get the film developed I will post the coloring experience.

Eggs, Paws and Claws

So, today I got the joy of not babysitting again. Can you tell that makes me happy. I got to take Little Ross shopping with me this time no lunch. We went to Kohl's and I got to get him a fun tie for Easter Sunday. Plus, I bought him a new pair of shoes and other summer clothes. I also got to get him some outdoor toys for Easter. Plus, he picked out a fire truck which is pretty cool. I also got him a bubble maker. It was a shopping day for little Ross. The only other thing I scored was a pillow that matched Annie's bedding. It was an Easter pillow but it didn't say Happy Easter or anything. It just looked like a fun spring pillow. To top it off I spent enough to get Kohl's cash. I love when they pay me.

We also got to spend the evening at the Zoo. It was a members only thing. It was cute the only negative none of the animals were out. So here I am 30 weeks pregnant and lugging my two year old around the displays to look at nothing. However, he got excited to look at all the water. He also enjoyed the animals indoor . He loved the big snakes which I loved (not really). He was a little scared of the elephants but soon got over it. The most priceless thing was seeing his little face lite up when he got to ride the Carousel. He was so excited to ride the horse. It made my drive all worth it just to see him smile and laugh. Beforehand we also got to go to Culver's. I love that place it is so yummy and guess what they included Ross' drink plus he got frozen custard with his meal. It was a much better deal. I really enjoyed my day with my little guy. He was a good sport at the zoo. I only had to carry him close to the end. I don't know what I am going to do with two children. I am sure I will survive.

A Table for Two

Today was such a fun day. It was just me and my guy (little Ross). I had no kids to babysit. The only thing I had to do was the chorus babysitting and I don't mind that because little Ross gets to play with Ben. After the chorus thing little Ross and I got to go shopping. Yeah, I never get to do that. After, we went shopping I decided to take him out to lunch. We went to Bob Evans to eat. We got a little two seater booth. He sat across from me so nicely. I couldn't believe it, a nice lunch with a two year old. He just sat there, colored and waited for his lunch. We also go to share an ice cream sundae. It was so nice. The only thing that wasn't nice was the check. Just so you know Bob Evans isn't cheap. They charge for everything. Most places include the drink with kids meals nope not them. Then when I asked for a little dish of fruit and I mean little, just to help hold Ross over until his meal came, they charged me a $1.79 for six grapes, seven banana slices and five pieces of cantaloupe. His meal ended up costing more than my six dollar salad. I couldn't believe it. I guess that is the price you spend to have a nice day out with your child. Honestly, I think I am trying to get all this one on one time while he still likes me.

Mission: Organization

Today, I was on a mission and that was to get my house in working order. Little Ross' toys were taking over the house. So, I started in his room. We decided to make the office into Annie's room. So, I started with tearing down the crib in Ross' room. He was least then thrilled about that. But I kept telling him he was getting a big boy room. So piece by piece the crib was down. Next the toys, I moved them all out of the laundry room since it is now going to be the office. Once, little Ross realized what I was doing he got in to it and started moving his toys. I also put his chalkboard up. The thing that really got him excited was his new curtains. He is so funny. He also insisted on Christmas lights. So, now he has Christmas lights hanging around his chalkboard. The crazy thing is he is keeping his room cleaner. My next step is turning the laundry room into the office. Another, big thing I managed to hunt down dressers for Annie. I feel like I got so much accomplished today.

A mini vacation at home

This week was a fun week because Ross had pretty much the whole week off. I still had to babysit but it was nice to have an extra pair of hands around to help out.

Monday was fun as we got to play in the snow and the shoveling of the "land mines" in the back yard began. Little Ross has really enjoyed the snow. It made me said to see it slowly melt away. However, it was refreshing to see all my spring bulbs popping up.

Tuesday, was even better my dad came up to fix all of our little house problems. It only took two trips to the Home Depot and $14. That was the best. Little Ross also had a good time when we were there for the second time he scored some major balloons. As we were walking by the kitchen area this guy was cutting down balloons from the ceiling. Little Ross took off and got them. I had no idea what he was doing but he did. he carried these twelve balloons through the store, you couldn't even see him. Plus, when I was driving home I couldn't even see out the back window. The little things in life.

Wednesday, was also fun I got to take the boys the the chorus thing. Little Ross loves it because he gets to play with Ben. It is so cute, Ben likes to act like a dinosaur and wrestle Little Ross to the ground. It is so cute he will just giggle and laugh the whole time. It is always a nice break for me. We also had a "family camp out" in the living room. Little Ross just thought that was a hoot. He insisted on "chocolate" which translates to hot chocolate. So, we had homemade hot chocolate and a movie. I got the joy of sleeping with him on our little twin pullout bed from our chair. It was fun however, I didn't sleep to well because I was afraid he was going to fall out.

Thursday, was a day that my husband got spring fever. Who wouldn't with 57 degree weather. He went to Wal-Mart by himself. That is big for him since he use to compare Wal-Mart to Hell. He bought tons of stuff for the yard. Little Ross and I had fun transplanting some houseplants that needed it. It was kind of cute because here the weather was 57 degrees out and we still had snow on the ground. He really enjoyed digging in the snow with a spring jacket on. I also got to hunt for more "land mines" Oh the joys of owning two dogs.

Friday, was oh so nice because I got to go to Ashley's Baby shower. She is so cute and pregnant. You would never guess she was having two. I was so excited because my cupcakes turned out. I was so worried that I wouldn't have enough. Let me just say I loved the food. I will honestly say that I had four plates of food. Oh my, there was not a single thing that didn't hit the spot. I just hope no one saw me eating that much. I think I could have just grazed all night. Then of course for my big blooper. When, I was explaining the games instead of saying baby food I said booby food. I was embarrassed but at least I got a good laugh. Hey I guess when I spend the whole day with two screaming kids that aren't mine anything can come out of my mouth. I just hope I didn't offend anyone. It was nice plus I was just happy that Little Ross was so well behaved. I thought it was so cute though when he saw all the yummy food he pulled a chair up to the table of food as if he was ready to go to town. The cute thing is as tempting as the food was he didn't touch it.

It was a nice week and I am glad to have the weekend with no worries.

Little Ross Funnies

1. Whenever he is pooping on the potty, he covers my nose with my shirt. This all started from when I got pregnant and changing the kids I babysit diapers. I gag really bad so I just covered my nose. Now he does it on a daily basis. He even does it if someone or some dog passes gas. He covers his nose too. He just cracks me up.
2. Whenever he wants a cookie he will pick up a few toys and ask for a cookie. Can you tell I reward him for doing something good?
3. He works out with Daddy. When Ross started lifting weights little Ross just couldnt help but jump in. He had to hunt down a pair of "workout gloves" and 2lb weights. He follows Ross' every move.
4. Finally saying prayers. He prays everyday for Conge (Connor) Parker, Reid, Kittcat (Katie), and other things like his Wawa(fish) and he is thankful for Wawa )Jesus. Yes, Jesus and Fish have the same name. When we were saying the prayer he looked over my shoulder at his fish and said its name. Then he looked at the shelf with a Jesus statue on it and said Wawa too. He is so darn cute.
5. He gets excited when I tell him I need to sweep, vacuum to some of you. He will clean the whole living room up and go to the closest and say "MMmm" That is is word for vacuum.
6. Yesterday, when he woke up and looked outside, he said "outside" I said "Why do you want to go outside" He said "Snow" as if that were a dumb question. So, in the heat of the storm we were playing in the snow. He was so excited to take a muffin pan out. He used it to dig with. He loves the snow must get that from me.
I just needed to write these down before I forget them.

The Week so far

Starting Saturday was a fun Primary activity. I really enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun setting up the obstacle course. I was amazed at how well the children listened and helped their younger siblings out. It was just so dang cute. Can I just say to the Mommy's and Daddy's in the ward your children were awesome. You should give yourself a pat on the back.

While I was at the Primary activity Big Ross took Little Ross to the Doctor by himself. I think that was a first. Afterwards, Ross took him to UDF to get ice cream because he was such a good boy. He is much cooler parent than what I am. Ross also told me about is fun experience while he was there. He said he walked into the UDF and went to the ice cream part. After he came in five other people came in and the cashier helped them first. My husband being a patient person waited until she was done. After she was done helping the other people she turned her back to Ross as if he wasn't there so she wouldn't have to help him. He was so mad and finally said are you going to help me. She rolled her eyes at him and scooped Little Ross' ice cream. To top it off when she was checking him out she said "Is he sick" Ross said "Yes" She then said" Well then you shouldn't be giving him ice cream" To top it of Ross was buying a Mt. Dew and she asked if that was for Little Ross. He said, " No he doesn't get caffeine" When Ross told me that I was ticked. It was a good thing I wasn't there because I have the tendency to go off and speak my mind. Ross however is always polite. Plus, he said he couldn't say much since Little Ross was with him.

Sunday I got to stay home since little Ross had green puss coming out of his eyes and bright green snot to go along with it.

Monday was nice. I didn't do a whole lot but I got a break from one of the kids I watch. He was sick and I needed the break. Plus, I got to go to one of my check ups. My Doctor asked how does it feel to be going in to your third trimester tomorrow. I said really that must explain why I am so tired. It is said but this is my second pregnancy and I still don't know the weeks that go with what trimester. Hey at least I know there are three. I also scheduled the rest of my appointments. I refused to schedule past May 30th because I will not go past the 31st. That was crazy to schedule the rest. That means I am so close. It has actually went pretty fast.

On Monday I got to talk to Katie and Little Ross got to say hi to Parker. When he heard his voice his whole little face lit up/ It was darn cute.

Tuesday was a blast I got to get up and go throw my vote away. Yeah. I almost voted for Hillary but I promised my brother in law I would vote for Ron Paul. So I did. It looked as if Hillary did just fine without mine. I just cannot stand Obama. I don't know if it is the fact that he called my house on a daily basis for the last two weeks or what but by Tuesday I was ready to scream. To top it off I got four phone calls on Tuesday for him. I am so happy it is over.

On Tuesday I also got to go to walmart and go shopping for Ashleys babyshower. That was fun since I got to go by myself.

Today I am just cleaning and preparing for the baby shower. So much fun cant wait till Friday.

Did I mention that everything in our house is falling apart. The faucet in our bathroom fell apart. Did I mention that it is was only a year and half old. So now my dad gets the privilege of coming up and fixing it. Yeah we are going to have to replace the whole thing. Plus, my dad gets to fix other miscellaneous things in the house. He is so excited.

Update on Lilley: She is still here. The Vet never called. Plus, she is slowly warming up to Ross again. He loves her. I just know I would fight him if he gave the okay to put her to sleep. She is a very well trained dog it was just a bad situation. She loves being in the cage and that is were she spends most of the time. Hey I love having two dogs they wear each other out.
