Funtimes in July

We have had a fun time this month. We went to the picnic with the pops, Maryland, and to my grandpa's house. This is at the picnic with the pops Rossi made himself fit right in with this group of kids. I will be honest this little guy is already drawn to older girls. That is why I took the picture. What am I to do?
Let the dancing begin.

They first did activities. Here is the art activity.
Playing the violin. He looks like a natural.Face painting or arm painting.

Thanks to Jacob's Dad I was able to enjoy this outing. It's nice to have friends in high places.
Parachute fun.
Ellie and Autumn got to come along since my husband wasn't feeling well. Can't let a perfectly good ticket go to waste. We had a blast with them.At the beach in Maryland.

Happy birthday and blessings

Okay so this week I got to celebrate my last birthday in my twenties. Can I just say that this has been one of my best birthdays since I can remember. To kick off the whole celebration I have this wonderful friend, Autumn who tagged around with my at an antique store three weeks prior so I could pick out my present. It is the wardrobe pictured above. Then on the Friday before my birthday Autumn had a Dutch Oven dinner and made me a poster and had balloons up . And the best part was her daughter Ellie so excited to be giving me a "birthday" party. She made me a cute present with a yellow bow. It was so nice of her to do that small kind act. Then on Saturday I got to pick out a new mailbox that I have been wanting for at least 2 years and that is what my mom got me. I know you are probably thinking a mailbox but I am practical and that is what I wanted. Plus, on Monday my wonderful in-laws sent me a beautiful card with money so I bought a zoo pass that I have been putting off. I had a wonderful day on my actual birthday too. I got to go to a free movie with my children and Jacob, plus Holly and her seven children, plus Mary Ann and her daughter. It was wonderful we took up an entire row and had four buckets of popcorn. Thank Heavens for the free refills. The whole day was filled with kind acts of others. My friend Bylle brought me wonderful cookie bars and a beautiful card. My friend Amanda brought me these to die for brownies that I was wanting my husband to make but she made them instead. This was so kind given both of her girls have been running fevers for days. Katie also brought me this darling dish bottle with pink dish soap in it and cute pink rubber gloves all tied together with a pink bow. One nice thing is she came during nap time so I got to visit with her for awhile. I felt bad when Bylle stopped by because I was having my daily power struggle with my son so I couldn't visit. I think she understood. Anyway, the day was just filled with many people calling to wish me a happy birthday. Heck, I even got a phone call from one of my childhood friends at 9:45 at night which woke me up to wish me happy birthday. As for the blessing part in my title, I just saw this as an opportunity to show how very grateful I am to have such a wonderful family and to have such wonderful friends that took time to remember my one my day. It made me realize that I need to do a better job at remembering them.

Welcome back Smith's

We are so excited to have our friends back. I honestly think I have spent more time with Katie since she has been back than before she left. Anyway, we are happy to have them back. I still find it hard to believe that they are back but I am very grateful.

Vacation

Okay so it didn't seem like much of a vacation. Since, we spent the entire time with a stomach virus. Little Ross was sick for two days throwing up while he spent the rest of the days with diarrhea. We however managed to spend one action packed day at the jump yard and going out on Lindsay's parents speed boat. I managed to get sick too, so one day Ross and his dad took little Ross to D.C. so at least he got spend some time out. I will say that I enjoyed visiting with my sister-in-law Lindsay, I got to take her to her Doctor's appointment then she treated me to lunch. It is always nice to have some girl time. I guess the only bonus of the virus we spent a fraction of what we were planning. Family pictures always a challenge but these seem to have worked out.
Ross with his girl. She is so in love with him.

He is so much like me it is scary, he is my little sidekick.

Me and Lindsay, she is so much fun. We spent an entire day just talking, that was wonderful.

At the museum with Daddy.

Okay so this is Lindsay's parents house and it absolutely gorgeous. It backs up to the bay.

Yeah so this is the back. I love that walk out basement.

On the boat, It was fun. I just loved how Annie fit in this life jacket.

Rossi was so excited to get onto the boat. Love this picture.

At the jumpyard. this place was so nice we were the only people there. So it was like we were having our own little private party.

Ross and I even enjoyed the big slide. By the way I got rug burn from doing that.

All in all, it wasn't a bad trip I just wish we could have seen more. Thank heavens for Colin and his projection TV on the wall and for introducing us to the show Chuck. That is how we spent our sick days. Fun times!!!
